For quite a few years now, I have been taking my self-actualisation journey to a level, wherein it is becoming more and more self-engaging to say the least and with my 4th quadrant view being predominant, it is becoming challenging to contest with my ‘alone-ness’ which very often society attributes to being ‘lonely’ which is not the case at all, with me. It’s been a while. Lots happening with us, as well as in society. After all the binge of weddings in Kolkata, we came back to our life here and been planning to make sense of it slowly. Work has always dominated my life. So, anything outside work is different. I realised it yesterday when I addressed the students again in my favourite L & I avatar, that if there is one place where I enjoy most, its being with my students. No joy in this world gives me as much pleasure as I get being with them. I had a huge disconnect for the last 2/3 years with the students for multiple reasons. I have made a huge mistake doing so. We go through different stages in life. Just wait. Let us try and look at those different stages. Today morning at 10.45am in Kolkata, the last bastion of my Mama Baari fell. Mrs Pratima Sen (Chhanu), whom we fondly called Bhalo Mashi, passed away at the ripe age of 90+ years. My mother Kalyani was the eldest of six siblings. In our generation, she was the BORO MASHI. She was followed by 5 more siblings, Benu (Boromama), Geeta(Mashimoni), Pratima (Bhalomashi), Nileema (Lal Mashi) and Sadhan (Chhoto Mama). Collectively, they had 15 children. As we travel through life and keep our minds free to grow and excel, our energies become very dominating and help us to think new things and evolve further.
